Optimal quality
The capacity to supply large quantities or varieties of fastenings conform to required standards is one of Satinox Assemblage’s main priorities. Our expertise is the result of a combination of actions carried out before, during and after production.
At each intervention the quality improves.

Selecting manufacturers
Regardless whether chosen by Satinox Assemblage or by the customer, the choice of manufacturer is a very important stage in the quest for quality. When choosing companies, Satinox Assemblage reviews each manufacturer’s details and pays particular attention to the manufacturer’s capacity to develop.

Quality lobbying
Though its involvement in Affix (Association des Fabricants de FIXations mécaniques), GIFAS AéroPME committee (Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales) and its monitoring system based on AFNOR news and events, Satinox Assemblage is an important information centre for fastenings and assembly material manufacturers. Information concerning standard developments and improvements in manufacturing practices allows us to issue vital recommendations to continuously improve quality.
Quality audits
As part of our constant search for improvements, manufacturers’ audits concern both supplier manufacturers selected by Satinox Assemblage and those chosen our customers. Satinox Assemblage’s manufacturers must be audited at least once a year while our customer’s manufacturers are audited, under responsibility delegated by the customer, before proper production begins or whenever any problem arises.
Manufacturing management
For the most delicate productions (e.g. an initial campaign with the customer’s selected manufacturer, or special production) Satinox Assemblage can be physically present at the production site and is willing to work closely with the technical heads to ensure quality produced complies with required quality and that the reject percentage is lower than the percentage required to efficiently move on to the following operation: quality control.
All quality controls
Quality control is the final stage in order to optimise quality and is efficiently carried out thanks to the seamless linking of previous stages. Quality control is under Satinox Assemblage’s responsibility and forms part of its result obligations. The control officially confirms that delivered products comply with:
- the required standards,
- the plan,
- requested specifications, and
- the materials ordered.
For faultless results, all quality control operations are also standardised. They cover a range of points to check (e.g. material, profile, print, resistance, etc.) and follow a partial or reduced standardised sample plan, based on NF ISO 2859-1 and calculated to ensure items meet the defined proportion.
Non-destructive quality controls can involve an entire delivery and may reveal the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) is 100%, which is particularly appreciated for ship-to-line operations.

- Goods in and shipment controls
- All products entering SATINOX ASSEMBLAGE are subject to compulsory controls by our staff, in accordance to our sample plan based on ISO 2859-1. All exiting products are also checked to ensure products comply with the order, and a Compliance Certificate (NFL 00 015 current index) is issued.
- Measuring and test Instruments
- All our instruments are managed based on applicable standards (i.e.
AS/EN/JISQ 9120 and ISO 9001) and have permanent files which are retained
for at least 10 years after the machine has been destroyed. Our
instruments consist of :
- rings (a master set is kept),
- buffers,
- calliper rules,
- micrometers,
- scales
- and a profile projector
